If you're searching for a cozy spot to enjoy a delightful meal in San Francisco, look no further than Taffi's Cafe. Nestled at 1748 Church St, this charming cafe is a hidden gem where brunch dreams come alive. Known for its warm atmosphere and inviting decor, Taffi's captures the essence of local dining, making it a perfect choice for casual gatherings or a serene solo brunch.

Taffi's Cafe presents an array of mouth-watering dishes that cater to various tastes, focusing primarily on breakfast and brunch staples. If you're a fan of fresh and hearty salads, don't miss out on the Quinoa Salad, a vibrant mix of quinoa, black beans, and a zesty cilantro lime vinaigrette priced at $17.40. For a classic twist, the Caesar Salad offers crisp romaine, garlic croutons, and shaved Parmesan, also available for $17.40.

But what truly shines at Taffi's is their take on Eggs Benedict. With its reputation for serving one of the best in town, the Smoked Salmon Benedict—poached eggs atop savory smoked salmon, with a drizzle of hollandaise on ciabatta—is a must-try for brunch enthusiasts at $25.52. For traditionalists, the Hobbs Applewood Bacon Benedict is equally enticing, balancing savory flavors with creamy avocado and ripe tomatoes. Both reflect the chef's commitment to quality ingredients and flavorful combinations.

Customer reviews echo this sentiment, with one patron, Kirill Bogoslovskii, exclaiming, "Ranked #1 in my search of the keywords 'Eggs Benedict' nearby. I can attest the food is really that good." Meanwhile, Camil Diaz discovered solace in Taffi's chicken and waffles, highlighting the dish's perfect crunch and subtle sweetness. It's clear that regulars have a soft spot for the cafe's skillfully crafted comfort food.

While the cafe provides a no-frills setting, the warmth of its staff and the satisfaction in every bite set Taffi's apart from the typical brunch locale. Christine Mamuad found joy in the "crispy, well-seasoned house potatoes," affirming that the cafe truly understands the art of brunch. Whether you're a local or just visiting, Taffi's welcomes one and all with open arms and a delicious menu that invites you to explore time and time again.

Small cafe serving brunch staples in a no-frills setting. Crispy, well-seasoned house potatoes were the standout, along with the hearty mushroom scramble and tasty blueberry pancake. As a chicken fried steak fan, I found the chicken fried steak here was a miss: smaller than the average diner's serving, over salted, and with excessive breading. Will come back to try other items on the menu another time, on the strength of the potatoes and the scramble. Good stuff!

This is a very cute corner breakfast spot in a nice neighborhood. I like supporting new, small businesses, especially when the owners are so nice & pleasant. Food has been good every time I’ve been here. Had the brioche French toast first time I was here and it was great. Today I opted for a lighter, more traditional breakfast and it did not disappoint! Eggs cooked well and thick cut bacon was crispy. The smashed breakfast potatoes were crunchy on the outside, smooth on the inside and seasoned perfectly. The also have salt water taffy on the bar because one of the owners is Taffi!

For a while I have been wanting to try out Taffi's cafe, I finally had the opportunity today to try it as I was working in the area not too far from the restaurant. I came in and was greeted by the owner Jimmy. What a nice guy. He recommended some specials they have on their menu but what stood out to me was the section for the hamburgers they have smash burgers. I don't know about you but I love me a good hamburger let alone a smashburger. I opted for the standard smashburger which was a double patty with tomato lettuce bun and special sauce I added bacon and grilled onions burger comes with fries. I added an Oreo milkshake as well. First off the burger was incredibly juicy and flavorful It had a wonderful crisp on the patty the bacon was really good as well as the grilled onions. The burger itself was a very good portion I had trouble finishing it. The oreo milkshake was thick made with real ice cream and paired perfectly with the burger. I was very satisfied with my first visit to Taffi's Cafe. The inside of the restaurant is relatively small but it has a very nice homey local feel to it. When I'm in the area I will definitely be back to get another smashburger or try something else off their menu. Keep up the great work!!

So Taffi's in the same spot where Toast Eatery once stood. Toasty's jad great breakfast, but Taffi's is even better!!! Every dish is much more refined and still very reasonably priced. I've found my new neighborhood breakfast haunt!

Tried Taffi’s at noon on a Saturday since we were on the hunt for chicken & waffles, and Four Chairs was way too stuffy with a >1 hour wait, while The Front Porch’s version of the dish has been too dry. Taffi’s had no wait and did not disappoint—waffle was crunchy on the top and moist on the inside. Lightly sweet such that it could be enjoyed without the warm maple syrup. Chicken was well seasoned and perfectly crunchy, but not at all greasy. Generous portion too—3 pieces that amounted to half a Cornish game hen-sized chicken. We also got the breakfast burrito with chorizo. Our server (who we later learned was Taffi herself!) kindly let us swap out the dairy (cheese + crema) with avocados. Only critique was that the potatoes in the burrito may have tasted better a little less charred (tho some char is ) and cut smaller for more even distribution. Might also be fun to have extra salsa on the side, though the hot sauce options on the tables worked in a pinch. Bonuses: the cafe gets amazing natural lighting with a lovely view of Bernal and strikes a great balance of being cozy but not stuffy thanks to its open windows; the servers were super attentive, going so far as to rearrange the tables for a walk-in with a party of 7; bathroom was clean with good soap and strong water pressure ; and dogs seem to be allowed inside. Great neighborhood spot for an unplanned, relaxing brunch!
